As architects, designers and creators we believe our job is to be a curator of stories. It is our power and also our curse. By virtue of our work, we create spaces for lives to be lived and meals to be had and joys to be shared but also by virtue of being human we are also susceptible to the uncertainty and all kinds of things that can and do go wrong during the whole process of actualizing our ideas. However, once in a while, if we are lucky, we find ourselves creating a space that lives on timelessly coloured exactly right with the lives of the people it was always meant for.  We worked endlessly on this project that comprises of two stand alone units, each with four bedrooms, study, lounging spaces with kitchen and a combined swimming pool, sauna and home theater facility. Situated on a farmland the cottages are part of the larger orchards, horse shed and water channels running through to conserve rain water. We are honoured to have played a holistic design approach in creating a little bit of magic for this project.
